Sexy Super Mighty Nutella
To say Nutella is a great way to start your day is well, straight up bogus. Just check out the ingredient label and you will see nothing but sugar and hydrogenated oils. Pretty much a perfect combination for blood sugar crashes and insulin resistance (can you say diabetes?).
However, Nutella has potential. Hazelnuts & chocolate in a delicious spread that makes you feel pretty saucy. It all depends on HOW it is made and WHAT it is made of. I’m talking quality of ingredients.
My inspiration to whip up this incredibly easy recipe was due to a dear friend of mine who was celebrating a birthday. She happens to be one half of a super squad known as the Super Mighties. It doesn’t matter if you have any clue on what I am referring to. All that matters is that you know that Super Mighties stand for all things full power, delicious and most importantly…SEXY.
What would be a more appropriate gift for a Super Mighty than a super sexy spread chalk full of nutrients, healthy fats and a power punch of silky chocolate flavor? Exactly, nothing.
Sexy Nutella
Ingredients
3 cups raw hazelnuts
1 cup raw cacao powder
3/4 cup cold pressed coconut oil
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1 tsp Himalayan sea salt
1/2 cup raw honey or coconut palm sugar
Directions
1. In a food processor or Vitamix, pulverize the hazelnuts until it turns into a meal/flour texture. Remove from food processor and place in a large mixing bowl.
2. In a sauce pan, melt the coconut oil on a low heat.
3. Stir in raw honey, vanilla extract and cacao powder until mixture turns smooth and silky.
4. Add chocolate mixture to the bottom of the food processor first and then hazelnut meal. This will help from the mixture getting stuck on the bottom.
5. Add Himalayan sea salt and blend until smooth.
6. If you desire a creamier spread, add more coconut oil.
7. Store in the refrigerator as this will keep the spread from going rancid.
*Sexy Super Mighty Nutella will harden in the fridge and soften at room temperature.
*Use Sexy Super Mighty Nutella as a dip for fruit (especially bananas) and a topping for ice cream. OR just eat it with a spoon. But be careful. Your levels of sexy will sky rocket with each bite.
