All Day Energy Smoothie

Smoothies can be a great way to get loaded nutrients in a a delicious drink. Be mindful to not make this a sugar bomb loaded with only fruit. This smoothie helps keep your blood sugar balanced with the necessary fat, fiber and protein while boosting your energy with maca. Maca is an adaptogenic root known for naturally stimulating energy and even your libido. Whether your looking for a natural pick-me-up to last you through the day or an excuse to feel a bit more flirty, this All Day Energy Smoothie has you covered.

 

Ingredients

1/4 cup Raw Cashews

1.5 tbsp Cocoa Powder or Raw Cacao Powder

1 tsp Maca Powder

1 Medjool date (pitted)

2 tbsp unsweetened coconut flakes

1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract

1-2 handfuls of baby spinach

2 cups water

1 cup ice

*For a protein boost, add 1 scoop Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides or Tera’s Whey Plain Goat Protein Powder.

Directions

1.     Add water and 1 cup of ice to the bottom of your blender/Vitamix first.

2.     Add cashews, medjool date, coconut flakes and vanilla extract.

3.     Blend on high until smooth.

4.     Add maca, cocoa powder and Tera’s Whey Goat Protein or Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides.

5.     Blend till smooth.

6.     Add 1-2 handfuls of baby spinach.

7.     Blend on high until smooth. Enjoy!
